General Outline
Susana Sierra is a global leader in the field of compliance and corporate governance, recognized for her influential work in promoting transparency, ethics and good practices in the private sector.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) recognized her as a Young Global Leader (YGL) in 2020.
Professional Career
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where she also obtained her Master in Business Administration (MBA).
Ms. Sierra is the CEO of BH Compliance, a company that, through its solutions G-Metrix and Comply Pulse, measures the effectiveness of corporate governance practices, allowing companies to evaluate and verify the efficacy of their internal policies and procedures, in addition to facilitating the early detection of possible gaps to correct them on time.
Ms. Sierra sits on the boards of the Chilean-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Chile), Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and Caribbean (AACCLA) and the Financial & International Business Association (FIBA) in Miami.
Between 2018 and 2022, she served on the board of Correos de Chile S.A., where she chaired the Audit Committee and acted as Vice President from 2021 to 2022. Additionally, from 2016 to 2022, she was a board member of the Chilean chapter of Transparency International, Chile Transparente, serving as its President from 2020 to 2022, and as Co-Chair of a high-level commission responsible for defining Transparency International’s 2030 strategy.
In the field of academia, between 2014 and 2021, she co-directed the Compliance and Corporate Best Practices Diploma at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), where she continues to teach today. She is also a lecturer in the MBA program at PUC and in various academic programs worldwide, focusing on compliance and good governance.
Susana is a mentor of Endeavor Chile and a member of the Forbes Business Council, the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN), Women Corporate Directors (WCD), the International Women’s Forum (IWF), Women in White Collar, and Private Corporate Directors.
Her global leadership extends to speaking at prestigious events, including FIBA AML 2023 and 2024, Leaders League Miami 2024, RISK London 2023, Nexus 2023, the Cities Summit of the Americas 2023, and the IX Summit of the Americas 2022.
Her remarkable work has received global recognition. In 2020, the World Economic Forum (WEF) honored her as a Young Global Leader (YGL), a distinction awarded to influential professionals committed to shaping a sustainable global future. She has also been awarded the “100 Mujeres Líderes” distinction four times by El Mercurio and Mujeres Empresarias in Chile (2015, 2022, 2023, and 2024) and was named one of the “100 Leaders” of the Faculty of Economics and Administration at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) in 2024. In 2023, she was named “CEO of the Year” by The Women in Governance, Risk & Compliance and “Female Entrepreneur of the Year” by the TITAN Awards Women in Business
In 2022, the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Miami awarded her the “Hispanic Leadership Award” in the Business Award category. In 2018, the International Women’s Forum in the United States honored her with the “Women Who Make a Difference” award. That same year, she became the first Latin American woman to win the “Women in Compliance Awards” in the “Lifetime Achievement for Service to the Compliance Industry” category.
Additionally, Susana is a regular columnist for media such as La Tercera, El Mostrador, and Radio Infinita in Chile and for international platforms like Forbes Business Council. She is also the co-author of the book Corrupción a la Carta.

- She is co-author with Tamara Agnic of the book “Corrupción a la Carta, las malas prácticas sobre la mesa” published in 2017, which describes bad practices in everyday business with more than thirty interviewees, including former presidents Eduardo Frei, Ricardo Lagos, Michelle Bachelet and Sebastián Piñera.
