Francisco Bilbao

Director of Legal and Compliance

General Outline

Francisco is a chilean lawyer who graduated from the University of Chile with a postgraduate degree (LLM) in Business Law from the University of Toronto, Canada.

He is currently the Legal and Compliance Director at BH Compliance, a firm that measures the effectiveness of compliance practices and corporate good governance.

Professional Career

Francisco studied Law at the University of Chile and graduated as a lawyer in 2014. Two years later, he completed the Diploma in Compliance and Corporate Best Practices at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC). Between 2019 and 2020, he pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Toronto, Canada.

Francisco joined BH Compliance in 2014, initially working as a Legal Assistant, later as Senior Lawyer and Deputy Director of Legal and Compliance; he is currently the Legal and Compliance Director. In all his roles, he has supported numerous companies in the certification processes of their compliance programs, both in Chile and abroad, promoting best practices through continuous monitoring.

In addition, since 2022, Francisco has been a professor in the Diploma Program on Fraud Prevention, Detection, and Investigation at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Chile. Since 2024, he has been a member of the Corporate Governance and Best Practices Committee at the Chilean-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Chile).
