Francisco Bilbao

Director of Legal and Compliance

General Outline

Francisco is a Chilean lawyer who earned his law degree from the University of Chile and holds a postgraduate degree (LL.M.) in Business Law from the University of Toronto, Canada.

He is currently Legal and Compliance Director at BH Compliance, a firm that measures the effectiveness of compliance practices and corporate governance.

Professional Career

Francisco studied law at the University of Chile and was admitted to the bar in 2014. Two years later, he completed a Diploma in Compliance and Corporate Best Practices at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC). Between 2019 and 2020, he pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Toronto, Canada.

He joined BH Compliance in 2014, initially working as a Legal Assistant, then as Senior Associate and Deputy Director of Legal and Compliance. He currently serves as Legal and Compliance Director. In all these roles, he has supported numerous companies—both in Chile and internationally—in the certification processes of their compliance programs, promoting best practices through continuous monitoring.

Since 2022, Francisco has also served as a professor in the Diploma in Fraud Prevention, Detection and Investigation at the School of Economics, University of Chile. Since 2024, he has been a member of the Corporate Governance and Best Practices Committee of the Chilean-North American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Chile).
